Books and Reading, My Life

A Booked Weekend

Greetings, Friends 🙂

Guess what? It’s Friday!! The weekend is here again. I hope you have had a great week and that your weekend will be relaxing and fun.

I finished two reviews this week and posted them a few minutes ago. My Review Books pile is slowly going back down. I just started a new review book and I am SO EXCITED about it. Lisa Harris’ Missing. It is the second book in her Nikki Boyd Files series. I loved the first one and have been wondering what Nikki would be up to in the next story. I finally can find out. Her is a little teaser synopsis for you….

A home invasion. Two dead bodies. Two missing persons. Clues leading to a close friend of Nikki’s.

What do you think? Sounds pretty good, huh? Can you guess what I will be doing tonight? 🙂 What are you reading this weekend?

Have a great night!

Peace,

Kymberli

A Booked Weekend

Good evening, everyone.

First, I want to apologize for not posting my Booked Weekend post last week. Being in Kentucky was throwing off my schedule and before I knew it Friday has passed and then the weekend and this week had come upon me. I decided to wait until tonight to bring back the post. I’m sorry to anyone who missed it last week (for anyone curious, I was reading A Worthy Pursuit and Ellen Foster last weekend).

Now onto this weekend. It is another busy few days, fill with work, dinner at a friend’s house, a friend coming over to spend a few days and reading mixed in there, of course. This weekend’s read is a new review book, Gone Without a Trace by Patricia Bradley.

It’s been more than two years since Live Reynolds’ cousin disappeared from Logan Point. Livy has never believe that Robyn left voluntarily. When private investigator Alex Jennings contacts her concerning a senator’s missing granddaughter who was last seen in Logan Point, Livy notices eerie similarities between the two disappearances. The investigation is an uphill battle a Alex and Livy try to piece the puzzle together. Are the disappearances just coincidence? Or are they connected?

I am currently 66 pages into the story and, although it started out slow to me, it has picked up and caught my attention. Hopefully it’ll stay that way. How about you? Reading anything exciting this weekend?

Sincerely,

Kymberli

A Booked Weekend

Another week has come and gone. I hope yours went well. I have been busy organizing my place now that I have finished the manuscript for Regenerate. I took a few days off and went away with my mom, which was really nice. It was relaxing and fun.

This week I have been visiting the cities of Atlanta, Georgia and Chicago, Illinois within the pages of Dee Henderson’s Taken. I was hooked from the first page. This story is not a light one. It is deep, indeed. One to pay attention to, one that makes me question the comments and actions of every single person on every page. It is a story that keeps me turning the page, keeps me up at night.

When Shannon Bliss was sixteen was sixteen she was abducted. Now, eleven years later, she has showed up at Matthew Dane’s door, wishing for help to have a normal life and put behind bars those responsible for her abduction. Matthew Dane, a private investigator, is more than willing and happy to help her. The only problem? If Shannon’s abductors find out she is alive they will stop at nothing to silence her.

The review for Taken will be posted soon but for now I will say, what I have read, I love. What are you reading this weekend?

I hope you have a relaxing, fun, booked, weekend.
