The Mountain Midwife book review

874be01a2db3b0a0ba297d36382eaa29    Ashley Tolliver’s family has practiced the art of midwifery in the Appalachian Mountains for nearly two hundred years. Ashley herself has been a midwife for years and thinks nothing could surprise her. Until a young woman gives birth in Ashley’s house and both the mother and the baby are kidnapped. Ashley is determined to find them before it is too late.

Hunter McDermott is on his own quest- to track down his birth mother. When he receives a mysterious phone call from a woman claiming to be his mother, Hunter arrives in Ashley’s community. He is hoping she can give him answers. Both are on a mission, but can they help each other?

I was very excited about reading this book and when I started I was pulled in. However, I could not finish it. Names of characters changed (and no, they were not nicknames)- First names, last names…. It was getting frustrating. The Mountain Midwife will be added to my list of unfinished books.

*I received this book free from the Fiction Guild in exchange for my honest review*
